1. About these terms
These terms are the agreement between Techne Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with number 14170011, whose registered office is at 82A James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Suffolk IP28 7DE ("Jobvito", "we", "us"), and the person or organisation that creates or runs a job board on Jobvito ("you").
If you create a board for an organisation, you confirm that you can agree to these terms on its behalf, and "you" means that organisation.
Jobvito is for people running a job board as a business or an organisation. It is not offered to consumers.
The agreement is made up of these terms, the Data Processing Agreement you accept when you create a board, and the plan and price you choose. If these terms and the Data Processing Agreement say different things about personal data, the Data Processing Agreement applies.
2. What Jobvito provides
Jobvito is software for running a job board: a public board on our address or your own domain, a dashboard for you and anyone you add to run it, employer accounts, applications, job alerts, paid listings through Stripe, imports from careers pages and feeds, and the tools for handling the personal data the board holds.
What your board can use depends on its plan. The Billing screen shows the plan you are on and what it includes.
We improve Jobvito all the time and may change how a feature works. If we are going to remove a feature your plan includes, we will tell you at least 30 days before.
3. Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us straight away at support@jobvito.com if you think someone else has used them.
You are responsible for what happens on your board, including what the admins you add do there. Add only people you trust, and remove them when they no longer need access.
Give us accurate contact and billing details and keep them up to date. We use them to tell you about your board, your bills and changes to these terms.
4. Free trial, plans and payment
A new board has 14 days free with every feature. You do not need a card to start.
To keep the board running after the trial, choose a plan on the Billing screen. Plans are paid monthly in advance through Stripe, in pounds sterling, at the price shown when you subscribe. Prices are shown without VAT, which is added where it applies.
If a payment fails, or you have not subscribed when the trial ends, the board keeps running for 7 days. After that it is paused: visitors see a holding page, nothing new is published or accepted, and your dashboard keeps working so you can put things right. Paying brings the board straight back.
We may change our prices. We will tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
We do not refund part of a month, except where the law says we must.
5. Selling job listings
If you charge employers for listings, you sell them from your own Stripe account, which you connect on the Plans screen. You are the seller: the employer's contract for the listing is with you, and Stripe pays the money into your account.
Jobvito keeps a share of each sale, taken by Stripe at the moment of payment. The Plans screen shows the current share. We will tell you at least 30 days before it changes.
You are responsible for your prices, for any VAT on your sales, for refunds to employers, and for the terms you agree with them. If you let employers pay by invoice, the invoice and the payment are between you and the employer, outside Jobvito.
Stripe's own terms apply to your Stripe account. We are not responsible for Stripe's decisions about your account or your payouts.
6. Your board and what is on it
What you and your employers put on your board stays yours. You give us permission to store, show, copy and process it as far as we need to run your board and provide Jobvito to you.
You are responsible for the jobs published on your board, whoever posted them. In particular, you must not publish, or let employers publish:
- adverts that discriminate unlawfully, for example on age, sex, race, disability, religion or belief, or any other characteristic the Equality Act 2010 protects;
- jobs that are not real, or that are misleading about the employer, the pay or the work;
- anything unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- jobs that charge candidates to apply, to be listed or to be considered.
When you import jobs from a careers page or feed, import only from places you are allowed to. Scheduled imports skip a site whose robots.txt asks them to, but that is not the same as the site owner's permission, and reading a page yourself does not check it at all.
If we are told, or find, that something on your board is unlawful, we may take it down. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you the chance to deal with it yourself.
7. Using Jobvito fairly
You must not:
- send spam from your board, or add people to job alerts or the candidate directory without the consent the product asks for;
- copy jobs or data from other job boards without their permission;
- try to reach data that is not yours, test our security without our written agreement, or get round a limit or a check the product applies;
- upload anything harmful, such as malware;
- resell or give others access to Jobvito itself, other than by running your board.
8. Personal data
For the personal data your board holds about candidates, employers and visitors, you are the controller and we are your processor. The Data Processing Agreement sets out what we may do with that data and what we owe you. You can read it, and the version you accepted, on the Agreement screen.
You must have a lawful basis for the personal data you ask your board to collect, and use it only for running your board. The product records the consent it asks for; do not ask people for more than your board needs.
Jobvito staff have no standing access to your board. If we need to look, for example to help you with a problem, access is opened for your board alone, for a stated reason and a set time. You are told by email, every read is logged, and you can see the log and end the access yourself.
These are the other companies that process personal data for Jobvito. We will tell you before we add or replace one, as the Data Processing Agreement says.
| Company | What for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic | Reading employer careers pages a board owner asks the platform to import, categorising the resulting job adverts, and drafting the owner's own suggestions and briefings | Global (no EU pin is offered for this API) |
| Resend | Email delivery | EU |
| Stripe | Payments | EU and UK |
| Supabase | Database, authentication and file storage | UK (London, eu-west-2) |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Bot protection on public forms | EU |
| Vercel | Application hosting | UK (London, lhr1) |
For your own account details, such as your name, email address and billing details, we are the controller.
9. The assistant
Plans that include it have an assistant that reads careers pages you ask it to import, sorts adverts into your categories and suggests changes for you to consider. It is a language model provided by Anthropic.
It is shown job adverts, web pages you have asked it to read, your board's settings and counts. It is never shown a candidate, an applicant, an employer contact, an email address, a CV or a covering letter. It never ranks, screens or decides anything about a person.
Its suggestions can be wrong. Nothing it suggests changes your board until you accept it, so check a suggestion before you do.
10. Your own domain
On plans that include it, you can serve your board on a domain you own. You must own or control the domain and keep it registered. If the domain lapses or its records change, the board stops being served there, and it stays on its Jobvito address.
11. Availability and support
We work to keep Jobvito running all the time, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We may need to take it down briefly for maintenance, and we will try to do that when boards are quiet.
For help, write to support@jobvito.com.
12. Suspending a board
Besides pausing a board that has not been paid for, we may suspend a board if it seriously breaks these terms, if the law requires it, or if it puts other boards or Jobvito at risk. Unless it would be unlawful or unsafe, we will tell you why and give you the chance to put it right first.
13. Ending the agreement
You can cancel your plan at any time from the Billing screen. The board keeps running to the end of the month you have paid for and 7 days after that, and is then paused.
To close your board for good, write to support@jobvito.com. Take a copy of anything you want to keep first.
We can end the agreement by giving you three months' notice, or straight away if you seriously break these terms and do not put it right within 14 days of our asking.
When the agreement ends, the board goes offline and we delete the personal data it holds, as the Data Processing Agreement says, and send you a list of what was removed. We keep only what the law requires us to, such as invoices.
14. Jobvito's software
Jobvito, its software and its design belong to us. These terms give you the right to use Jobvito to run your board while the agreement lasts, and nothing more.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
The search by distance on every board uses place names and postcode districts from GeoNames (www.geonames.org), under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence.
15. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Apart from that, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill, or for any indirect loss. Our total liability to you under or in connection with this agreement is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
We are not responsible for what employers, candidates or visitors do on your board, or for the content of the jobs published there.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will email you at least 30 days before a change that affects you takes effect. If you do not agree to it, you can cancel before then. Changes to the Data Processing Agreement are made as a new version, which you accept on the Agreement screen.
17. General
We may send you notices by email to the address on your account. You can send notices to us at support@jobvito.com.
You may not transfer this agreement to someone else without our agreement. We may transfer it to a company that takes over Jobvito, and will tell you if we do.
If a court decides part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
Neither of us is responsible for a delay or failure caused by something outside our reasonable control.
Only you and we have rights under this agreement; nobody else can enforce it.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute about them.
